Red, White, and Blue Table Runner
18" x 54"
For Tiffany
I had finished the Pretty Pinwheels quilt for Allison's Christmas gift. Tiffany said she would like a patriotic table runner with pinwheels so I was able to use the same pattern.
When I was with Tiffany over Christmas time in Southern California, we went shopping for some red, white, and blue fabric.
I had wanted to try a border using a 60-degree angle so I added this to the edge of the runner.
The blue fabric with white stars was the perfect complement for the back of the runner.
I had quite a few scraps left over so I made 3 throw pillow covers with an envelope back.
Every quilt tells a story. This is a story of making something patriotic for my daughter's home and re-using a block pattern.
Every Quilt Tells A Story
Whether it is the fabrics chosen, the design, the colors, the occasion, the recipient, or the people I quilt with, every quilt tells a story. This blog captures in images and words what has been created for others and for my own home through the hum and stitching of my sewing machine.
